Phil's Cool Blog Posting Place

This is now an EVE Online stories blog

I have decided to transition this space into a slow-drip feed of my stories and adventures in the MMO EVE Online, because I love the video game and its player-driven narratives 'n adventures.

In real life news, not much has changed beside the season. Summer is waning into the past, fall is waxing forward past the horizon as the nights get darker each day and the leaves transition to colorful entropy. My boys are happy and healthy (this being all a father could hope for!). My mood is a cacophony of despair and joy, shifting pendulum-like back and fourth due to a part of me asking myself to take a break from responsibility and work. You're not permitted by life to take a break from responsibilities you established for yourself by inviting new life into the world, but hey...you can and should admit you're tired. Right?

Anyway, EVE Online. It's a space game, it was inspired in its original iteration by games such as Elite and idk what else. It's made in Iceland; it has a great deal of Icelandic flair with its interface, design language, and brutality. You need to study the game in order to learn how to play it, and it plays like a submarine simulator as you float about the void in your murder ship. I love all of its quirks and complexities, and will be sharing what happens to me in the game in order to digest the happenings and learn from them.
